Student Assistant

The Student Assistant assists trained personnel in an effort to facilitate acquisition of technical skills and perform/practice beginning level skills in the student's area of instruction.

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.

2. *Carries out assigned duties as prescribed by supervising faculty and/or staff. (See addendum for specific job assignment.)

3. Performs assigned work tasks under the direction supervision of instructional staff.

4. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

Additional Job Tasks and Responsibilities for Sonography Lab student assistants:

1. Is present in the sonography skills lab during assigned hours to monitor use by sonography students.

2. Maintains a log of skills lab usage.

3. Keeps the skills lab tidy and well stocked

4. Reports any issues with equipment or skills lab usage to appropriate College personnel.

5. Assists with photocopying and other clerical tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must be a student currently enrolled in a course of study at Bryan College of Health Sciences. Prior education and experience dependent upon specific assignment.
