THE ROLE:

The focus of this role in the AECG ASIC organization is to provide technical leadership within the team and with the customer to inform the customer's platform design and to lead internal validation platforms for next generation ASICs.

THE PERSON:

You have a passion for modern, complex SoCs with various IO peripherals and heterogenous processor systems and system design and validation in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating in a corporate environment with other validation and SW/FW engineers located in different sites/time-zones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead customer interactions in all areas related to their platform design and validation plans
  • Lead internal cross functional engineering teams to create validation plans. Work with SW/FW teams as appropriate to create a high coverage plan.
  • Work with pre-silicon verification leaders to define emulation plans
  • Work with global platform engineering teams to bring up next generation SOC platforms and drive debug activities to closure. Lead customer interactions to resolve issues to enable fast time to production for the SOC.
  • Address internal inefficiencies and customer problems through innovative enhancements to validation flows and automation

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Significant experience in complex SOC/ASIC platform bring up and validation
  • Significant experience dealing with external customers to ensure timely launch of customer solutions
  • Experience in a System Engineer and Validation leadership role leading to an understanding of end-end development
  • Working experience of FW and SW drivers used in modern platforms
  • Good analytical problem solving, and attention to details
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of CPU, Interconnect, and I/O peripherals
  • Must have worked with third party contractors
  • Ability to organize and present complex technical information
  • Hands-on experience in using industry debug tools, scopes
  • Programming skills a plus to create scripts for a creating easy to use boot / log-in / debug for the entire organization

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • BS, MS or PhD degree in in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
