Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Inside Sales & Customer Service Representative to support our sales operations and ensure a seamless customer experience. This role involves managing customer orders, resolving inquiries, and collaborating across departments to deliver timely and accurate service. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities * Generate accurate customer quotations based on requested products or services. * Enter sales orders received via email, phone, or fax into the ERP system, verifying all customer details, billing information, part numbers, and specifications. * Send order confirmations and maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the order lifecycle. * Identify and resolve discrepancies related to customer purchase orders. * Monitor order progress and expedite shipments as needed to meet customer expectations. * Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, scheduling) to provide updates and technical information. * Track shipments and provide proof of delivery upon request. * Maintain and update customer records in the management database. * Manage customer complaints and ensure all documentation is completed accurately. * Support the Regional Sales Manager by handling inquiries during travel or remote work. * Handle inbound customer service calls, including call routing, order entry, quote generation, and technical support. * Digitally scan and organize job orders and sales documentation daily. Required Skills & Qualifications * Minimum 2 years of experience in inside sales or industrial customer service. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer applications. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional tone. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment. * Critical thinking skills and the ability to make decisions within defined parameters. * Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. * Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. * Solid math skills, including unit conversions and pricing calculations using imperial and metric systems. * Familiarity with industrial products is preferred.
