Short Intro and About the Job

The Procurement Ops Manager, Fruit Prep and Plant Based is part of the North America (NORAM) One Direct team, reporting to the Category Activation Director, Fruit Prep & Plant Based of North America. The main activities for this role are to support procurement related activities for both the Fruit Preparations and Plant Based ingredients categories and to work closely in collaboration with the category director and buyers.
The position is based in either Broomfield, CO, or White Plains, NY, US.

Objectives of the role Require:

    Manage Fruit Prep waste impact between Danone plants and suppliers.
  • Complete ownership of waste mitigation strategy, including design and implementation, utilizing various value levers that deliver improved cost and more efficient processes and solutions.
  • Support category RFP's and bid analysis working alongside local and global category buyers.
  • Hold expertise in the tools and processes which contribute to local procurement operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain continuous improvement SOP's across all functional tools and cross functional stakeholders.
  • Manage commercial term records & support accurate reflection of said terms in SAP.
  • Guide & manage new material suppliers through the proper vendor on-boarding steps at Danone.
  • Create Indirect POs for procurement related activity and manage their lifecycle.
  • Maintain supplier inventory records to enhance supply chain visibility.
  • Support buyers with timely reaction on contract balancing needs and other analytical needs.
  • Lead discussions with internal & external stakeholders to minimize business risk.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting of key KPIs and supplier scorecards
  • Lead cross functional productivity and efficiency projects.
  • Active participant in sustainability initiatives related to the categories managed.
  • Support material planning escalations and ensure the chain is secured within a dynamic global supply chain environment.
  • Work cross-functionally with Global, Project Management, R&I, Quality Assurance,
  • Regulatory/Legal, Planning, Finance, and Brand/Marketing
  • Collaborate across other direct material categories to enable opportunities that can deliver innovation and efficiency.
  • Help identify and implement incremental productivity opportunities within Fruit Prep and Plant Based categories.

The salary range for this position is $79,000 - $114,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions. About You

* Business, Agriculture or Engineering MS or Bachelor's degree.
* 3-5 plus years in direct materials procurement (food industry sourcing a plus)
* Strong analytical skills
* Driven personality pursuing to compliance, alignment & standardization
* Highly organized and systematic
* Strong communication skills with business background
* Proven skills in both written and verbal communication, influencing and stakeholder management
* Ability to perform within a complex and "fast-paced" environment
* Strong knowledge and experience in Purchasing Category Management
* Team player, pragmatic, and accountable
* Strong interpersonal skills
* High proficiency in Microsoft applications with particular focus on Excel and PowerPoint
