Major Areas of Accountability:



  • Follow Specifications and Standard practices required to return equipment to production state.
  • Assist operators with anything inhibiting production activities. Support production activities by monitoring tool status, setup, addresses CFM failures, and provides guidance to line operators.
  • Fulfill other tasks as requested by supervisor, engineering and management.
  • Process test runs and prepare records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products.
  • Provide technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
  • With minimal supervision you will carry out engineering tasks related to the daily production requirements


  • Address particle and thickness failures on product and qualifications. Assist operators with anything inhibiting production activities (eg: Test wafers, quals, etc) Receive/deliver daily area status reports
  • Assist equipment maintenance with understanding and identifying causes of process failure
  • Assist process engineers with tasks and projects
  • Analyze inline process data, such as thickness and particle measurements, to create action plan to return equipment to production


  • Assist in running production, as needed


  • Receive/deliver daily area status reports from/to night shift.
  • Understands and communicates WIP Levels, tool status, throughput and other key fab metrics.
  • Apply appropriate response to alarms, errors, and color variations of the product per spec.



Required Qualifications:



  • Associate degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 year directly related experience, experience in Diffusion preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Statistical Process Control (SPC). In depth knowledge of Diffusion processes, TEL furnaces and Sinks.
  • Ability to receive and deliver complex written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including effective problem-solving ability, good communication, strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Follows specified procedures and also recommends potential 'spec' changes or process



Physical Requirements:
* Ability to repetitively lift up to 12 pounds
* Work in a cleanroom environment wearing full personal protective equipment attire
* Stand and walk for the duration of a 12-hour shift
