Position Title: Powder Coater Helper
Wage: $18-$21/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday Bring the heat. Finish with precision. Step into a high-impact role where craftsmanship meets durability. As a Powder Coater Helper, you'll transform raw metal into sleek, finished products using precision tools and industrial-grade coatings. This is an associate to hire role in Kansas City, MO. Powder Coater Helper Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Prepare products for coating, including cleaning and masking, applying powder coat, and ensuring quality standards - Monitor and adjust equipment settings to maintain optimal coating quality - Perform visual inspections of finished parts to ensure proper coating and adherence to quality standards - Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols - Perform routine maintenance on powder coating equipment - Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and deadlines - Punctually report to work as scheduled and work all assigned hours - Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the production manager Powder Coater Helper Requirements: - High school diploma or GED - 1+ years of professional painting experience - Lift, carry, push, and pull as required by the job - Lift up to 50 pounds, will team lift anything over 50 pounds - Familiarity with oven and wash bay procedures, maintenance, and operations - Knowledge of the powder coating process, critical parameters, and common failure modes - Ability to safely start up, operate, and shut down process-related equipment - Proficiency in reading production drawings, equipment manuals, and written instructions - Flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities - Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals) - Strong attention to detail and quality QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
