POSITION SUMMARY:



  • The Corporate Director of Health & Safety reports to the Executive Vice President, PMO
  • Located in Lewisville, Texas
  • Full-Time
  • Hybrid



As the Corporate Director of Health & Safety, you will assume a pivotal role in providing strategic direction and leadership for health and safety initiatives across our organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, this role demands a seasoned professional capable of driving a comprehensive and proactive health and safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering continuous improvement in safety performance.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Strategic Health & Safety Leadership:



  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for health and safety programs, aligning with corporate goals and industry best practices.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to regional health and safety managers.


Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:



  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Implement robust risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential hazards.


Training and Development:



  • Design and implement advanced health and safety training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and safety awareness through effective communication and educational initiatives.


Incident Management and Investigations:



  • Oversee complex investigations of workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance safety protocols.


Safety Audits and Inspections:



  • Lead comprehensive safety audits and inspections of corporate facilities.
  • Collaborate with site leaders to address and rectify safety deficiencies.


Emergency Response Planning:



  • Develop, refine, and test emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Ensure coordination with relevant stakeholders to guarantee effective emergency preparedness.


Data Analysis and Reporting:



  • Analyze health and safety metrics to identify trends, evaluate performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports to executive leadership.



COMPETENCIES:



  • Demonstrate visionary thinking and strategic acumen to shape and implement impactful health and safety programs.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex health and safety information and influence behavior at all organizational levels.
  • Exhibit advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, making informed decisions to address health and safety challenges.
  • Deliver high-level training sessions and educational initiatives to enhance safety awareness and compliance.



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in health and safety roles, with a focus on corporate environments.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certifications required.
  • Team management and leadership experience.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.


In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
