Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world. In the role of Transmission Project Manager/Team Lead, we'll count on you to:
- Assist in the responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support
- Assist with administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections
- Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews
- Ensure that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system
- Implement, monitor and support company policy
- Assist in the selection, training, development and management of technical personnel
- Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts
- Managing and leading transmission projects throughout the entire project life cycle, including scope and/or proposal development, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, quality control, schedule, and budget management.
- Leading the QA/QC process on projects per HDR's Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements with a commitment to delivering world class quality.
- At times, being responsible for overseeing non-engineering components of projects, including public involvement, environmental permitting, right of way acquisition, construction management, and other services.
- Leveraging existing staff across the company to execute work and deliver world class services to clients.
- Supporting and engaging in broader business development activities with existing and target clients in the region.
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and client relationships in Wisconsin considered a strong advantage.
- Previous experience managing and supervising staff.
- PE and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification license
- Experience using project management tools, such as MS Project, forecasting tools, a plus.
- Experience with transmission line, distribution line, and associated strategic services aspects (i.e., routing, permitting, public involvement, right of way acquisition) of projects with strong technical experience in design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 7 years experience
- Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Good leadership and organizational skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
