Purpose The Junior Technologist, Cybersecurity Engineer will play a key role in supporting the organization's security monitoring and incident response capabilities, with an initial primary focus on maintaining and optimizing the Security information and event management (SIEM) platform. Under the guidance of senior engineers, this role will assist in configuring dashboards, managing data inputs, and troubleshooting issues to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of Splunk as a core security tool. This position offers hands-on experience in working with cross-functional teams-including project managers, analysts, and IT staff-to support enterprise security initiatives. The Junior Cybersecurity Engineer will also begin developing skills in identifying potential security risks and learning how to apply best practices to improve system defenses. Over time, the role may expand to include broader responsibilities in evaluating and integrating other security tools, while also representing the cybersecurity team in internal and external communications.
