JOB SUMMARY
Works under minimum supervision to provide optimized resource utilization and enhanced operational efficiency in our campus retail outlets. This job combines the responsibilities of a cashier, retail associate and inventory associate to ensure seamless operations, effective inventory management, and exceptional customer service.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required



  • Education
    High School Diploma or equivalent


  • Experience
    1 year of experience working on computers using Inventory management systems and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel products


Preferred



  • Experience
    Previous experience in retail, cashiering, storekeeping, or merchandising preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications

JOB DUTIES



  • Greets customers and provide excellent customer service.
  • Processes cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Receives and checks cash drawer for correctness at beginning and end of shift; takes cash register reading; places money and cash tape into bank deposit bag; turns in daily receipts to supervisor.
  • Maintains a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Addresses customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Monitors and manage stock levels to ensure optimal inventory.
  • Reorders products and handle stockouts in real-time.
  • Receives and processes inventory shipments.
  • Conducts regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
  • Addresses inventory discrepancies and pricing errors promptly
  • Performs lifting tasks such as moving and restocking inventory items.
  • Ensures products are effectively presented and promoted to customers.
  • Sets up attractive and strategic product displays.
  • Rotates stock to maintain product freshness and appeal.
  • Implements pricing strategies and manage product promotions.
  • Adapts quickly to changing operational needs without relying on multiple team members.
  • Maintains a flexible and agile approach to respond to fluctuating customer demands.
  • Checks incoming shipments against bills of lading and purchase orders, and prepares accurate receiving reports, noting shortages, overages, and damaged items.
  • Coordinates the receipt and delivery of university or departmental shipments.
  • Initiates and implements continuous improvement projects for assigned area.
  • May help to maintain workflow and coordinates activities in Supervisors absence.
  • Documents all process errors found in assigned work area and communicates an improvement to eliminate future errors to team members.
  • Loads, unloads and delivers merchandise by variety of means including manual loading techniques and mobile carts.
  • Provides assistance to department personnel in preparing and arranging for outgoing shipments.
  • Drives university vehicles to various campus and off-campus locations to offload and deliver merchandise.
  • Ensures that storage areas and stock rooms are maintained in clean and tidy condition.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
