General Function:
- Support planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive systems support strategy.
- Provide guidance in accordance with the Transportation Plan and Defense Transportation System processes.
- Assist with planning, managing, and coordinating cradle-to-grave logistics support for major systems or subsystems.
- Integrate functions such as supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance.
- Monitor compliance with milestones and performance criteria.
- Support coordination and integration of tasks across organizations.
- Continuously evaluate program support effectiveness and schedule adherence.
- Identify conflicting objectives and priorities; analyze deficiencies.
- Provide recommendations for risk assessments and issue mitigation.
- Review program documents to assess impacts on production and logistics.
- Support conflict resolution and agreement on actions and schedules.
- Possess working knowledge of logistics policy and statutory guidance (e.g., Title 10 USC *2466, NDAAs).
- Understand principles of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning and execution.
- Understand life cycle concepts in system R&D and acquisition.
- Be familiar with contracting processes and technical requirements.
- Assist in identifying resource needs (money, manpower, material, facilities, services).
- Analyze data to determine logistics goals and objectives.
- Identify technical support and funding requirements.
- Establish relationships among stakeholders in plan deployment.
- Be knowledgeable in logistics and maintainability program requirements.
- Assist in developing logistics support and maintainability plans.
- Assist in systems acquisition requirements analysis.
- Support budget/financial analysis and lifecycle cost control.
- Evaluate AIS standardization and compatibility.
- Perform Product Support and RAM-C analysis.
- Collect and analyze logistics, maintenance, acquisition, or financial data.
- Develop and validate documentation for logistics data systems.
- Assist in ILS management, monitoring, evaluation, and coordination.
- Support acquisition project execution monitoring.
- Ensure functional organizations meet milestones and criteria.
- Coordinate cross-functional task execution.
- Continuously evaluate program support and time-phased schedules.
- Identify and analyze conflicting priorities; advise on corrective actions.
- Gather facts, develop conclusions, and recommend impactful solutions.
Qualifications: Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
- MA/MS Degree with 10 years of directly related experience or BA/BS with 12 years of directly related experience or 15 years of directly related experience to this discipline.
- Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications and other standard applications.
