Description

The Commercial Operations Specialist supports the development and execution of key projects, processes, and systems across the division. Responsibilities include daily coordination of Commercial Banking Operations activities, managing system updates, generating reports, and conducting audits. The position also serves as a central operational liaison with Finance, IT/Operations, Credit Administration, Retail, Client Experience, and HR teams.

Essential Functions



  • Fulfills Commercial Division requests through Jira Service Management.
  • Facilitates procedure changes to support related application and systems updates.
  • Develops and administers user metrics to ensure adoption of established systems and processes.
  • Integrates effective Internal Controls into all applicable work processes. Maintains a working knowledge of Internal Controls with particular attention to Key Controls.
  • Participates in ensuring that updates to Internal Controls documentation are performed timely when there are changes in the risk parameters and/or workflow.
  • Performs and distributes tasks as needed or required to ensure department objectives are met.
  • Participates in and/or coordinates projects designed to enhance productivity and implementation of new software and procedures.
  • Participates in developing report controls and conducts internal audits consistent with these controls.
  • Timely and accurately provides business reporting to managers consistent with identified needs.

  • May support Commercial Division training needs as directed by the Commercial Operations Group Manager and/or Commercial Division Leadership.


  • May facilitate the Incentive Compensation Plans tracking and reporting system for the Commercial Division; assist the development team with any necessary programming changes, including testing.
  • May act as key liaison in addressing employee questions regarding the Incentive Compensation Plan reporting system, and any issues that may arise.
  • May act as primary or secondary Risk Management Ambassador (RMA).
  • Participates in various projects and initiatives as assigned by leadership.
  • Perform compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is required


Qualifications



  • Prior knowledge of commercial lending and deposit procedures, documentation and processing requirements preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people in a team environment.
  • Must maintain utmost confidentiality, demonstrating maturity, discretion, and trust.
  • Ability to work independently on complex issues, situations, etc., meeting deadlines, and working effectively under stress, maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with and work effectively with diverse groups of people, in a variety of settings, managing conflict, negotiating for results and developing working relationships.
  • Proficient PC skills to navigate Bank software, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, desktop information management, presentation software, Internet, and related applications.
  • Strong analytical, quantification, and computational skills; ability to review and present complex data in an organized, logical format.
  • Strong detail orientation with high level of organizational skills and ability to manage interruptions with multiple projects.



Pay Range: $25.6017 - $38.4025 per hour

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, WA. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This position is eligible to participate in an applicable bonus plan.



  • Candidates in Portland, OR metro area can anticipate a pay range of $32.00 - $48.01 per hour
  • Candidates in Seattle, WA metro area can anticipate a pay range of $35.84 - $53.76 per hour
