Continental Electronics Corporation is seeking a Manager, Materials Planning, based out of Dallas, TX.

The Materials Planning Manager manages planning and production control processes and personnel responsible for planning and tracking of delivery and availability of materials, and issuance of manufacturing/work orders to meet production goals and schedules.


Responsibilities

  • Oversees personnel who support scheduling and forecasting volume of material and products inbound to the business from supply chain companies or being worked on the manufacturing floor.
  • Performs a wide variety of duties requiring knowledge of MRP and cross-department operational procedures.
  • Supervises multiple manufacturing disciplines in an integrated workforce environment, ensuring effective communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Energizes team members and holds each member accountable for performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Addresses and resolves conflicts or issues among production staff promptly and effectively.
  • Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Works with purchasing to fill order requirements and meet delivery schedules.
  • Creates manufacturing orders based on product manufacturing releases from the engineering department.
  • Works with documents such as purchase orders, schedules, bill of materials, manufacturing orders and other forms which require confidential handling
  • Verifies manufacturing data for completeness and works through part shortages
  • Understands and manages risks to minimize impact on production schedule
  • Gathers and posts inventory data and prepares summaries of data
  • Monitors the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and verifies inventory accuracy
  • Distributes material according to established procedures, maintains & updates distribution lists
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time material and parts delivery to production as and when required
  • Creates correspondence, reports, forms, and other material as required

Qualifications

  • 5 years of related experience, manufacturing/operations planning preferred
  • Must have at least 3-5 years of MRP software utilization experience; Costpoint preferred
  • Must have working or managerial experience in supply chain, planning, or production control activities
  • MS Office suite experience, specifically proficient in Microsoft Excel

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Previous Supervisory or leadership experience: capability in managing teams, handling conflict resolution, and providing guidance and mentorship
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations
  • Microsoft Project or production scheduling experience
  • Project Management experience

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervision of 3-7 people in a team environment.
