- As a Technology Auditor, you'll join a dynamic, agile team of tech-savvy professionals dedicated to exploring, testing, and ensuring the security and reliability of the IT applications and technology platforms powering State Farm's core business processes.
- You'll put your full-stack technology expertise to work, diving into the latest tools and systems to assess everything from security and privacy to efficiency and reliability-helping keep our enterprise running smoothly and securely.
- In this role, you'll stay ahead of the curve by continuously expanding your knowledge across a wide range of technologies and business trends, making learning and innovation a part of your everyday routine.
- As a successful Technology Auditor, you'll become a trusted advisor to business partners, using your sharp critical thinking skills and business acumen to communicate clearly, document findings, and help drive smart decisions across the organization.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with, or deep knowledge of, AWS (or other cloud platforms), including the ability to leverage services for software development, automation, and scalable solutions.
- Strong background in software development principles and practices, with proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (such as Python, Java, or Node.js) to assess, build, or automate IT controls and testing processes.
- Ability to examine IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, and determine exposure to risk-applying technical skills to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Exercises critical thinking and learning agility to provide objective advice, guidance, and recommendations to a variety of business partners, including those in development and engineering roles.
- Solid understanding of risk, information technology, information security, software development lifecycles, and business acumen.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical and software concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience working in and consistently delivering results within cross-functional, agile teams
- Demonstrated commitment to learning new technologies, programming languages, and processes, staying current with the latest in cloud and software development trends.
- Current on business applications, emerging IT trends, and experienced in evaluating or implementing innovative IT and software solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior audit or similar experience focusing on technical or information security risks to any degree
- Understanding of key software development principles - object-oriented design, continuous delivery (CI/CD), source control, test automation, incident response, and/or penetration testing
- Ability to read, write and review code (Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL. etc.) is a plus
- Professional certifications or working towards certification such as CISA, CIA, AWS, or Salesforce is a plus

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!
- Potential starting salary range: $105,000 - $130,000
- Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
- High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
- Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
