Position Overview
We are seeking a Marketing Manager, Content Creation to lead and elevate the presence of geocaching, and our related apps, across all marketing channels.
With a focus on acquiring new players and entertaining our global community, you will be responsible for building a content creation engine across the company, while filming, editing, sourcing, and producing content. With a creative eye, technical skills, and a willingness to teach, you will help drive new ideas and creative energy at Geocaching HQ. You will bring a deep understanding of internet culture, an eye for platform-appropriate content, and a desire and ability to teach others how to attract new players, all while nurturing the existing global geocaching community.
Responsibilities and duties
- Own and evolve acquisition content creation and delivery for Geocaching and Adventure Lab across key platforms, including Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube, Facebook, and other relevant outlets.
- Produce visual content, including videos, memes, still imagery, and interactive assets tailored to the unique voice and format of each social media platform.
- Collaborate across teams to create content that showcases the joy of geocaching and invites players to start geocaching.
- Maintain a hands-on understanding of design tools, video editing, composition, and visual storytelling techniques.
- Stay current with social media trends, algorithms, emerging tools, and best practices to proactively adapt production to support our goals to attract new players.
- When required create and provide adaptable and localizable assets and messaging
- Craft and test content aligned to various stages of the acquisition funnel, including awareness (top-of-funnel), consideration, and conversion.
- Manage the acquisition components of the content calendar with the social media team.
- Monitor your content delivery for engagement opportunities, respond to comments and messages, and manage online interactions to foster interest in geocaching.
- Partner with internal teams to A/B test creative hypotheses across platforms, measuring lift in reach, engagement, CTR, and conversion.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Skills and experience
- 3-6+ years of experience, with at least 3+ years of content creation experience demonstrating growth in scope, strategy, and execution
- Deep expertise in content performance metrics, creative KPIs, and platform-specific best practices.
- Strong hands-on experience with social content creation, including familiarity with video editing tools, or motion graphics software.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Compensation and benefits We carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your experience and internal equity, when determining individual pay. The range for this role is $77,910 to $118,420 with an expected starting range of $77,910 to $98,165. This position is eligible for annual salary increases and bonus (dependent on company & individual performance).
