In this role, The Compensation Analyst provides ongoing support and guidance in the administration of company salary and pay programs in accordance with the organization's reward strategy. The Analyst must analyze, plan, and make decisions about associate pay through research, market studies, and analysis. The effort will include compensation analytics, benchmarking and leveling roles. The analyst leads key compensation projects by designing, developing and implementing new and/or enhanced regional compensation programs.

Responsibilities:



  • Consults and advises region and leaders regarding compensation policy interpretation, new hire offers, promotions, market analysis, job evaluation, and other compensation projects and initiatives. Administers and provides advice and analysis for the annual Compensation processes (e.g., merit and bonus process, equity/market adjustments, promotions)
  • Project work and partnership with Department Manager and Total Rewards Strategy group to develop and maintain strategic Compensation programs in line with Honda's Compensation Strategy.
  • Conducts job evaluation and assigns compensation grade per Honda's job evaluation methodology. Analyses jobs for any applicable premiums (geographic and/or functional).
  • Researches market information and analyses data from market-based compensation surveys. Proposes recommendations and builds consensus for implementation.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field of equivalent experience
  • CCP preferred
  • 4+ years of HR experience
  • 1-3 years of Compensation experience
  • Prior experience consulting with business managers preferred
  • Previous experience consulting with business managers preferred
  • Previous experience conducting job evaluations or knowledge/application of job evaluation methodologies preferred



Knowledge and Skills



  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop analytics from multiple data sources, interpret and analyse trends, and develop meaningful recommendations in a logical concise way.
  • Proficient in MS Office software; advanced Excel skills are critical.
  • Proficient in HR System software, preferably ORACLE PeopleSoft.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Must be detailed oriented with demonstrated project management capabilities.
