HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR TEAM:

Supports products in the semiconductor and physical vapor deposition industries. Works closely with customers and internal/external suppliers on quality improvement initiatives under ISO-9000; TS 16949:2002 and continuous improvement objectives. Requires moderate domestic travel and periodic Asian travel in support of these quality initiatives. Must have a results-oriented management style that is coupled with a mentoring/positive reinforcement style. Strong emphasis is placed on communication skills, both written and verbal, and organizational skills. Frequently interacts with world class companies. Achievement of objectives must include an over-riding commitment to quality that must permeate the areas of responsibility. Enable and Drive Change in the Organization.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:


  • Develops and implements quality programs consistent with ISO-9000, ISO/TS 16949:2002 and continuous improvement objectives.
  • Develops and documents Potential Failure Mode Effects and Analysis (PFMEA).
  • Develops and implements Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Control Plans.
  • Develops and implements Measurement Systems Analysis for applicable piece parts and higher level assemblies.
  • Develops and documents First Article Inspection Process (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for products falling under the quality programs noted above.
  • Takes an active role in developing suppliers and sub-suppliers on the requirements of the quality programs noted above.
  • Investigates and follows through on requests for supplier corrective action as directed by our customers.
  • Initiates, investigates, and follows through on internal and external 8D corrective actions preventative actions (CAPA).
  • Able to work with and handle sensitive information.
  • Significant internal and external customer communications requiring an approachable and balanced communication style.
  • B.S. or equivalent demonstrated work experience and 8+ years' experience as a Quality Engineer.
  • Must be familiar with statistical tools and able to review and analyze data and to work with Engineering and Manufacturing in developing corrective actions.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software - Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Must be skilled in performing internal and external audits
  • Must be skilled in writing detailed work instructions - SOP's.
  • Performs post-build tool/equipment quality inspection.
  • Ability to perform Customer Acceptance Test (CAT) and coordinate/facilitate needs of customers requirements for tool acceptance.
  • Ability to perform detailed technical customer training on tool process, operation, and overall function.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM:


  • 8+ years' experience as a Quality Engineer or 5 years' experience as a Quality Engineer and a CQE-ASQ.
