Provides analytical and project management support for global compensation programs in alignment with Company's Total Rewards philosophy and compensation strategy.

Essential Functions:

1. Provides management and Human Resources (HR) team with compensation support/counsel and offers creative solutions to compensation-related issues. Researches and formulates recommendations on external and internal employment offers, job leveling, and internal equity adjustments through the use of salary surveys and internal compensation tools.

2. Prepares, analyzes, and administers incentive programs, including effectiveness evaluation, and preparation of incentive communications.

3. Consults with HR team and business leaders on compensation management and administration including development of alternative solutions.

4. Participates in salary surveys. Matches internal positions with external data in salary surveys and compiles submissions.

5. Analyzes Company's market position on jobs and makes recommendations on market adjustments. Presents survey data and market position analyses to HR management.

6. Performs job analysis, drafts job descriptions, and ensures globally compliant and accurate job documentation is on file for all active job titles. Ensures all positions are classified appropriately according to Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and globally equivalent regulations.

7. Oversees administration of Company's rewards and recognition programs while evaluating programs' utilization and effectiveness.

8. Plays a key leadership role for annual performance review and merit review cycles.

9. Prepares and edits employee communications designed to provide employees with timely and accurate information. Creates employee communications materials including, but not limited to memos, company announcements, and intranet materials reflecting the Company's key messages as related to total rewards and compensation.

10. Works with HR Technology team to maximize the use of internal systems to meet the needs of the compensation function.

11. Ensures compliance with laws and regulations which impact compensation plans and policies. Audits and analyzes internal compensation practices in relation to relevant regulations, such as the Equal Pay Act. Makes recommendations for corrections.

12. Performs research on topics and consults with senior department members as needed.

13. Leads special compensation projects as requested or necessary.


Qualifications

Qualifications - External

Requirements:

BA/BS degree, preferably in a related field. At least three years of related experience as a compensation professional. Experience working at a global clinical research organization or related industry preferred. CCP, GRP, and/or S/PHR certification preferred. HR systems, PeopleSoft, and global compensation experience preferred. Thorough knowledge and proper application of relevant employment laws. Strong MS Office skills with advanced Excel skills. Ability to demonstrate strong, persuasive verbal and written communication skills. Ability to identify creative solutions and implement with minimal direction. Ability to facilitate presentations, meetings, and training programs. Professionalism and effective ability to manage confidential information. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
