The Opportunity

Reporting to the SVP, Human Resources, the Administrative Assistant will provide general administrative support for the Human Resources Leadership Team at Berkadia to help facilitate the efficient operation of the Human Resources department.

What it takes to be successful in this role



  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Has a can-do, proactive attitude and is eager to both learn and contribute.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with an aptitude for proofreading and writing.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three to five years prior experience in a similar position.


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Provides general administrative support to the Human Resources Leadership team. Including:

    • Manages Outlook calendar and appointments for SVP - Human Resources daily.
    • Coordinates and schedules meetings and appointments.
    • Organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering information, sending invitations, and attending to logistics of meetings.
    • Submit invoices related to Human Resources, Recruitment, Benefits, and Diversity related department expenses.
    • Completes monthly expense reports.
    • Coordinates travel arrangements and reservations, as needed.
    • Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions, as needed.

  • Supports the needs of Human Resources department by:

    • Intakes incoming emails and phone calls to the Human Resources Department and directs them to the appropriate team member(s) as needed.
    • Schedules, coordinates agenda and takes meeting minutes department meetings. Plans events, luncheons, and team engagement activities.
    • Proofreads and types documents and correspondence produced by the department. Manages department's PoliteMail account.
    • Ships Employment Law posters to various office locations across the country to ensure compliance.
    • Upkeeps company intranet site content so that it is current and a helpful resource to employees.
    • Orders office supplies and maintains inventory.
    • Receives and distributes office mail, as needed.
