Apple is looking for a passionate and driven software development engineer to be part of Edge Services Architecture and Efficiency Team for Apple Media Products. Alongside other architects and engineers in this space, you will help innovate and develop the software tools and libraries for architecture and efficiency improvements + advancements of Apple Media Products. You will help us as we continue to expand our global services availability and presence. Key Qualifications Extensive professional experience developing software tools and libraries with Rust and Java (Python is a plus!) Strong foundation and demonstrated expertise in algorithms and statistics with a passion for metrics and analytics Experience with large-scale datacenter application deployments, including: monitoring and capacity planning Strong passion to work in services with a keen interest developing systems level components and other architecture related projects In depth understanding of reactive programming, async programming, and non-blocking IO Self-driven, energetic, with strong leadership and presentation skills Description As part of the Apple Media Products engineering team, your responsibilities will include working closely with architect team members and other software engineers to gather the requirements of the tools and libraries that you will build for architecture and efficiency improvements + advancements. You will be expected to use your technical competence and interpersonal skills to quickly earn trust within the team, and cross functionally, so that you can effectively question assumptions and persuade others to adopt and implement the tools and libraries you will build, deliver, and maintain.
