Key Responsibilities


  • Work with senior leadership team to develop and produce sales tools and analytics that support the University Partnership Sales teams which include Business Development and Managing Directors; evaluate usage and capability of current sales tools, suggest areas of improvement to increase sales force effectiveness.
  • In consultation with the senior leadership team, develop and align target customer segments down to the account level, to support strategic sales objectives.
  • In partnership with the COO and sales leadership, craft and execute sales bonus plans including target setting, provide timely reporting of progress to exceeding sales targets and achieving business objectives throughout the fiscal year.
  • In partnership with the COO, and sales leadership, develop and drive the implementation of streamlined sales operational process.
  • Collaborate and work across functions to help develop the sales strategy and achieve business objectives, providing, when necessary, project management skills and expertise as well as thought leadership to build consensus and shared perspectives on key initiatives.
  • Provide the senior leadership team with data-driven insights, both in-flight and for completed sales campaigns, including forecasting and recommended changes or actions.
  • Ensure the efficacy of the sales process including pipeline management and velocity, identify sticking points and opportunities to streamline and optimize processes.
  • Manage CRM data ensuring data in the system is current, audit data for consistency, setup automations and manage custom fields.
  • Partner with enabling functions such as Finance, Human Resources and Legal to support the operations, productivity, and effectiveness of the Institutional Sales team including talent management.


Qualifications


  • A BS or BA with a track record of high achievement.
  • MBA or master's degree in relevant field preferred.
  • 7+ years' experience in a management role in Sales Operations or Strategy.
  • Experience in the Education industry, particularly enterprise sales, is preferred, but not necessary.
  • A deep understanding of Sales Operations at both a strategic and operational level.
  • Proficiency in CRM design and management, preferably Salesforce.
  • Program management experience and an ability to both hold people accountable and build shared perspectives through thought leadership.
  • Advanced Excel modeling and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with business systems and understanding of data reporting tools.
  • Experience with SQL and working in relational database management systems a plus.
  • Self-starter with analytical skills.
  • Able to identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement, assesses viable solutions, and develops and executes comprehensive action plans.
  • A pragmatic, commercial mind-set, and a willingness to have a hands-on approach to working with a diverse and dispersed go-to-market organization.
  • Highly results oriented and keenly focused on business priorities.
  • Ability to effectively balance multiple assignments concurrently, including ability to assess and manage priorities.
  • Effective interpersonal and communications skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical expertise and influence executive stakeholders.
