Reports to: Prof. Erin Carlson, Department of Chemistry
100% Time

Job Duties:

80% Biological chemistry laboratory work on NIH-funded research involving characterization of penicillin-ninding protein (PBP) function and interactions.

20% General responsibilities in chemistry lab and group work pertaining to research, instrument maintenance and support, lab safety, and team approaches to polymer research

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in chemical sciences or chemical engineering or materials sciences or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years

Preferred Qualifications
* Laboratory experience with macromolecular material synthesis and characterization
