About the Job

Seeking two Graduate Mentors to start the week of August 29th!

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Meet weekly with assigned students individually or in small groups to provide intentional, structured organizational support and mentorship.
  • Create and monitor individual student-athlete academic task lists.
  • Compile reports and distribute to academic advisors on student-athlete progress..

Compensation:

  • $15/hour

Work Schedule/Environment:

  • Up to 14 hours/week
  • In person and on campus
  • Starting week of August 29th!

Additional Info:

  • The commitment is for one semester, with a renewal opportunity for subsequent semesters pursuant to performance.
  • This position is intended to give Master's level students hands-on experience working in academic support and mentorship at the college level.
    • We have the ability to provide the necessary supervision to apply this experience toward practicum hours.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Ability to multitask, problem solve, effectively communicate both verbally and written, and interact with multiple people simultaneously.
  • This position requires the ability to consistently accomplish tasks, communicate with multiple stakeholders, have a desire to work in higher education, an educational support role or student-athletes academic support, with minimal supervision, excellent listening, written and verbal skills.

Preferred:

  • Preferred candidates are currently pursuing a Master's degree in psychology, education, counseling, sport management, or a related field.

The Lindahl Academic Center is a student-athlete focused environment dedicated to guiding student-athletes to graduation, building positive relationships, and enhancing their overall experience.
