GEICO Technology Solutions is seeking a Sr. Director, Marketing Technology with over 10 years of experience leading large scale technology practices in support of Marketing. Ideally you have deep experience in B2C industries, preferably Insurance or Finance. You've delivered large scale personalization programs, content optimization, cross-channel orchestration and next best experience platforms. GEICO Technology Solutions is transforming the customer experience in our industry. The Sr Director, Marketing Technology will be a key leader for us in this effort.

Position Description

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Technology (MarTech) leader to drive transformation across Marketing, Customer Engagement, Data and Analytics. Your opportunity as Head of MarTech at GEICO is to impact the lives of our customers while driving growth for one of the best brands in America. The ideal leader will be passionate about customer outcomes, have experience leading Personalization and have deep expertise in modern MarTech. You will report to the Head of Data as a senior leader in our Technology organization. You will serve as the primary technology partner for the CMO as we bring data and technology together so that we may delight our customers every time they engage. Your job will be to understand what it's like to be our customer, what we should do about it, and how!

Position Responsibilities

  • Set the vision and strategy for Marketing Technology at GEICO
  • Partner with leaders from across Marketing and Technology to define a comprehensive modern marketing technology architecture and roadmap including the Customer Data Platform, Personalization engines, Attribution, Web Analytics, Social Marketing, Digital Asset Management, Content Factory, etc
  • You will lead and grow our marketing technology team and drive innovation and optimization through marketing technology, processes and internal systems
  • Ensure our MarTech capabilities enable marketing to deliver on goals and plans
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage expectations
  • Stay up to date with marketing technologies, vendors, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, privacy, and legal requirements
  • Understand industry direction and best practices
  • Understand and optimize the flow of customer data across the organization, and with outside partners
  • Define systems of record and reference for customer data, and integration patterns
  • Leverage strong collaboration skills to partner with varied stakeholders within the organization, including the analytics and enterprise data warehouse teams, business stakeholders, security, infrastructure, and other teams

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of B2C marketing leadership experience with specialization in marketing technology and operations at high-growth companies
  • Ability to lead and grow a team in a highly matrixed organization and work cross-functionally across marketing, sales, data science, web, IT, and engineering
  • Deep understanding of the marketing technology landscape, including MarTech, AdTech, and WebTech
  • Experience with multiple components of the marketing technology stack including personalization, segmentation, campaign orchestration, salesforce marketing cloud, etc. is required
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms, CRM, CMS, CDP, web, analytical tools, and ad technology for search, social, and display advertising
  • Architecture experience in marketing technology or customer data
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and drive and influence business growth Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong experience in working with data science teams in refining and optimizing data science and machine learning models and algorithms
  • Strong experience in working with data governance, data quality, and data security teams and specifically and privacy and security officers in moving data pipelines into production with appropriate data quality, governance and security standards and certification
  • Experienced in agile methodologies and capable of applying DevOps and increasingly DataOps principles to data pipelines to improve the communication, integration, reuse and automation of data flows between data managers and consumers across an organization
  • Strong experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic business environment
  • Required to be highly creative and collaborative
  • Has good judgment, a sense of urgency and has demonstrated commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity
  • Initiative and creativity in solving problems and driving innovation through others
  • Delivery of information in a clear and concise manner appropriate to the audience
  • Embracing ownership of both successes and failures, demonstrating leadership maturity
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments distributed across multiple teams and dependency areas
  • Confidence with decision making
