Summary:

Credit part-time, adjunct faculty teaching positions in the Electronics fields. Opportunities may be available at the Bethlehem, PA campus, Monroe campus located in Tannersville, PA and/or online.

Work with the Director of Advanced and Industrial Technology, College staff, and other adjunct faculty to instruct Electronic technologies courses on or off-campus as needed.

Technical Skills (dependent on courses taught)

  • Knowledge and application of electronic devices, current micro-controllers, mechanical processes and machinery, and basic communication protocols
  • Experience with basic micro-controllers, electronics prototyping: cabling and circuits
  • Troubleshooting basic circuitry and electronics problems related to transistors and micro-controllers.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and how to troubleshoot.
  • Knowledge of all or most of the following equipment:
  • Digital, Dual-Trace Oscilloscope; Arbitrary Function Generator; Digital Multi-meter; DC Power Supply; Logic Probe; Signal Analyzer; Signal Communications Simulator; Allen-Bradly PLC; Electronics/Electrical Hand tools.
  • Knowledge and experience in electronics assembly; thru-hole, surface-mount technologies, IPC certification, and the Electronics Sector, circuits, troubleshooting, and instrumentation.
  • Experience in AC/DC circuit analysis, electronic manufacturing processes, digital electronics, solid state devices and circuits, microprocessors and linear integrated circuits.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in discipline or related field from a regionally accredited Institution required. College teaching experience preferred.

Special Instructions:

The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department and the College. Please understand that there may not presently be an adjunct position available at the time of your application. When an opening becomes available, the hiring manager will look to this pool of candidates for consideration. If hired, official transcripts will be required from all undergraduate and graduate universities attended before a contract is issued.
