Overview

As a member of the HR team, the Learning & Development Specialist will work within the Learning and Development Organization contributing to the design, development, administration, and evaluation of a broad range of learning activities at CIS. The position will interface with multiple stakeholders, creating and curating learning solutions that optimize learning experiences and promote continuous development of our employees.

We lead a global community of IT professionals to continuously evolve these standards and provide products and services to proactively safeguard against emerging threats.



What You'll Do

    Coordinate and organize a broad range of learning activities to include instructor-led (classroom and virtual), e-learning, microlearning, and internal development programs
  • Collaborate with the HR team and key stakeholders to identify employee development needs, and recommend and implement solutions according to L&D best practices
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts and external vendors, providing assistance with the selection, design, development and delivery of learning solutions
  • Conduct reporting to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of learning activities
  • Oversee, organize, and update content within the learning management system (LMS)
  • Develop communications to inform employees on learning programs, training resources and development opportunities
  • Support L&D team in developing innovative solutions that foster an environment of continuous learning through on-the-job, social and collaborative learning experiences.
  • Assist with the development and continuous refinement of CIS' learning strategy
  • Assist with facilitation and delivery of trainings and workshops for CIS employees
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned


What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Design or related field
  • 2+ years of experience working in a corporate environment within Human Resources, with a focus in Learning and Development
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop and deliver learning solutions, trainings or related activities
  • Experience with an LMS and eLearning design
  • Experience in facilitation and leading group trainings
  • Demonstrated commitment and desire to work with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong interpersonal, administrative, and project management skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate's degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.

It's a Plus if You Have:
  • Professional certification: SHRM-CP, CPTM, or CPTD preferred
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience working in a non-profit environment
