General Summary:

The Supervisor, Warehouse Operations will be leading Honda Aircraft Company's Customer Service Warehouse Operations in an efficient, productive, and safe operation, while meeting or exceeding company goals and customer expectations. This person will be responsible for managing all order management, distribution, and warehouse functions supporting the HondaJet world-wide customer base, HondaJet service network, and the Greensboro Service Center operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  1. Manage all aspects of shipping/receiving and warehousing of new and serviceable products. Include Kit Build, Cycle Count, Bin Audits, Material Receipt, Material Movement, Order Processing, Product Labeling, Product Packaging, Logistics Coordinating, and preparing Regulatory Documentation.
  2. Lead team that is single point of contact for all quotes and orders. Prioritize and manage daily order volumes and keep customers updated on order status. Ensure all transactions are processed and invoiced in a timely manner.
  3. Build and maintain professional customer relationships. Receive and respond to customer requests regarding quotations and/or order status and provide resolution.
  4. Manage transportation/logistics providers and evaluate performance and cost according to agreements. Review shipping invoices for performance and payment approval.
  5. Ensure department and company goals and objectives are developed and met to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is produced. Emphasis on safety, quality, process improvement, budgeting, and inventory management.
  6. Ensures compliance with company policies and government regulations (e.g., Safety, OSHA, HazMat, DOT, FAA).
  7. Manage and engage team/staff; including recruitment, training, coaching, motivating, developing, and evaluating.
  8. Prioritize and adjust strategic plans and initiatives according to organizational, regulatory, and market drivers (e.g., future capacity requirements, evaluation of transportation/logistics/brokerage partners)
  9. Lead and advocate for continuous improvement of systems and processes that impact workflow and customer service.
  10. Participate in and ensure daily team scheduling for (24/7) On-Call support coverage.


Qualifications

Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:



  1. Bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business; 7+ years experience in related technical field in lieu of a degree.
  2. 5+ years experience in Transportation, Distribution, Warehousing, Supply Chain Management, or related operations.
  3. 1+ years of experience in a Leadership/Supervisor role.
  4. Experience in aftermarket customer service preferred.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  1. Working knowledge of trade compliance regulations with regard to import and export.
  2. Familiarity with aviation documentation preferred, including certificate of conformity and FAA form 8130-3.
  3. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes programs.
  4. Experience in SAP strongly preferred.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  6. Strong detail oriented skills.
  7. Good project management skills.
  8. Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment.
  9. Ability to work as scheduled, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as demand requires.
  10. Ability to travel as required.



Physical Requirements:



  1. Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
  2. Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
  3. Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
  4. Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
  5. Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
  6. Effectively communicate in Business English language.
  7. Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
  8. Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided "reach assistance technology" or "movement assist technology" (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly's, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
