Job Description

Execute the GIANT Company initiatives across Our Customer, Our Brand and Our People promises to deliver the brand strategy. Provides guidance on project management and support of key strategic initiatives, including tracking of financial and strategic implications. Responsible for executing, maintaining, and facilitating the planning process and decision-making process around banner priorities and plans. Provide visibility and understanding of how brand initiatives impact the banner, and how they progress, and coordinate accordingly. Participates in the annual review of key promise initiatives for the upcoming fiscal year.

Essential Skills


  • Track the key initiatives across the organization.
  • Support goal setting, resource allocation, and progress tracking.
  • Make recommendations on modifications to plans in support of the Brand's strategy, as well as ongoing initiatives to further strengthen the brand by providing insights and leading teams to specific outcomes.
  • Ensure development and maintenance of project documentation, work plans, and deliverables for promise initiatives.
  • Identify potential opportunities, gaps, and resource constraints (both financial and human).
  • Identify risks and create alignment when Merchandising, Retail Operations, and Marketing initiatives overlap.
  • Track progress of key initiatives, measure the effectiveness of initiatives, both in the execution and planning processes, and make recommendations to banner leadership based on learning and results.
  • Responsible for forecasting process and making budget recommendations for Strategy & Business Planning Department.
  • Produce regular key initiative updates & reports to ensure alignment and visibility into performance.
  • Deliver professional communications to senior leaders.
  • Deliver periodic presentations and updates to Brand leadership and Brand leadership, as necessary.
  • Provide guidance, identify and share best practices to ensure successful execution of key initiatives by utilizing project management and change management skills.
