Instructional Design Trainer - Digital

The Instructional Design Trainer - Digital is a position that has a client-focused mindset and builds valuable relationships and collaboration. The incumbent must be able to design and develop content through a variety of synchronous and asynchronous methods such as eLearning, webinars, on demand training, in person, blended and distance learning. Support learning programs including but not limited to new hire, systems, soft skills, competencies, employee development, leader and HiPO employees. Works independently with occasional supervision.

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,972 - $99,428 USD. SKILLS
  • Partner with subject matter experts to develop, update, and expand learning programs for both in person and virtual environments

  • Design digital training courses, materials, instructor guides, and other learning media utilizing digital software, applications and modalities such as adaptive learning, distance learning and gamification.

  • Utilize multiple formats, including print, audio, visual and multimedia. Record and edit audio narration.

  • Drive change, suggesting new and creative approaches to deliver content to learners

  • Develop and employ tools and technologies appropriate for a variety of learning delivery methods

  • Coordinate and contribute to instructional analysis, design, and evaluations activities

  • Facilitate programs to reinforce GEHA's Vision and corporate initiatives, strategy, and goals

  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with clients and customers, providing solutions for immediate and long-term training needs. Maintaining customer satisfaction and delivering exceptional client services on a consistent basis

  • Support culture change at GEHA by championing initiatives that support GEHA Values - Commit to Growth and Improvement, Care for our Members and Each Other, Own It and Achieve Excellence, Work as One Team, and Embrace Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

  • Complete ad-hoc and special projects as necessary based on business need and changes

REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience

  • Three years (90 hours) or more of college, or any combination of education, professional training or work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position

  • Two years of recent onsite and virtual experience educating or training individuals and/or groups in a corporate environment

  • Three years of strong, recent experience in learning development tools; Articulate 360 Suite (primarily Storyline, Rise, and Review), Captivate, or Camtasia required.

  • Strong experience in storyboarding, using motion, formatting treatments, and overall UI/UX/LX design

  • Proven ability to leverage rapid e-learning prototypes and efficient development workflows

  • Highly developed organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with strong problem-solving abilities. Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to conceptualize and apply innovative ideas & solutions and concurrently manage multiple assignments

  • Demonstrated level of expertise in designing and developing learning solutions (e.g., web-based training, simulations, video-based training, etc.) that are engaging and transformative

  • Ability to effectively supervise large physical and virtual classes for extended periods of time, monitoring attendance, writing evaluations and actively participating in touchpoint meetings with business partners

  • MS Office proficiency

  • Ability to communicate effectively with various job roles and levels in the organization

  • Competent at multi-tasking and managing demands across numerous assignments and projects, both department and enterprise-wide
