SUMMARY: Responsible for actively monitoring and managing concurrent supply chain work streams which together support the growth and profitability of Sysco's North America distribution network. Supply chain work streams include direct Operating Company inbound freight efficiency, supplier integration into Sysco's redistribution network, Sysco's sourcing initiatives, and forward warehouse utilization. Across each of these work streams a Supply Chain Manager (SCM) must understand a supplier's supply chain and Sysco costing methodology and strategies. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects. Develop Supply Chain solutions with suppliers for Sysco distribution networks Identification, negotiation, and implementation of supply chain efficiency opportunities including redistributed supplier adoption allowances and supplier freight and pick-up allowance programs Act as Supply Chain liaison between Sysco's supplier network and Sysco's internal teams, i.e., Operating Companies, Sysco Merchandising Services, Sourcing, Forward Warehouse, Redistribution Operations, Regional Supply Chain staff, Carrier Development, National Inbound Transportation, Supply Chain Inventory Management, and Supply Chain Analytics. Develop, track and report on key performance metrics for financial goals and supplier performance on a monthly basis. QUALIFICATIONS: Requires an undergraduate or higher degree. A higher degree in a related field of study or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a supply chain position, preferably in a high volume, multi-location distribution environment, concentrating on supply chain modeling, operations, finance, or inventory management 5 yrs of Supply Chain Experience Ability to build relationships and manage multiple work streams with conflicting objectives in a matrix organization. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and oral communication skills Proficient use of standard business software products including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Effective negotiation skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop and execute high level project plans PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
