PT Grant Coordinator, Title III

Position Description

DEFINITION:

The part-time Grant Coordinator assists the Project Director in managing the legal, ethical, and regulatory aspects for administering the Title III grant.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:

  • Receives general supervision from the Title III Program Director
  • Exercises no supervision

Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

ESSENTIAL AND OTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS STATEMENTS:

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Essential Functions:

  • Review grant activities and expenditures to ensure that CFCC and grantor policies and guidelines are observed
  • Review all aspects of the budget, expenditures, and programmatic activities to assure that the funds are properly and completely spent
  • Ensure that the project stays in compliance with the terms of the grant agreement, assurances, policies, protocols, and any cost share requirements
  • Maintain open and regular communication with Title III Director, administrators, and appropriate staff to help identify and address grant management needs
  • Assist Project Director in developing required project reports and in developing complete and compliant closeout and record retention

Other Important Functions:

  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of student development and resources to promote student success

Ability To:

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Interpret and apply CFCC goals, objectives, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for:
    1. Making observations
    2. Reading and writing
    3. Communicating with others
    4. Operating assigned equipment
    5. Handling varied tasks simultaneously
  • Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following:
    1. Standing or sitting for extended periods of time
    2. Operating assigned equipment
    3. Handling varied tasks simultaneously
    4. Bending, stooping, climbing, or lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Maintain mental capacity, which allow the capability of:
    1. Making sound decisions
    2. Responding to questions
    3. Demonstrating intellectual capabilities

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES:

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Minimum Education/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management from a regionally accredited institution.

Minimum Experience:

  • Project management and experience working with a college or university grants office and training in accounting and database management.

Preferred Education/Training, Experience, Skills:

  • Must be highly organized and must be able to work independently. Knowledge of Grant Navigator or similar financial information system
