Key Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing: Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Program Management
  • Experience with high volume manufacturing and procedures like: FMEA, process flow, control plans and yield
  • Technical leadership in communicating project readiness and identifying risks
  • Establish quality programs and manufacturing process control plans for early detection of issues and to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability is consistently delivered.
  • Expertise leading multi-functional supply chain activities for overall operational readiness in all NPI phases leading to mass production
  • Strong management skills with international vendors
  • Utilize DOE's, GR&R, correlation studies and other industry standard tools to identify risks and optimize processes
  • Strong technical skills, involving problem solving and root cause analysis in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with 8D to fix internal and supplier based engineering issues.
  • Clear understanding of FACA procedure.
  • Self-starter with innovation, integrity and attention to details
  • Basic understanding of optical lens design with ZEMAX, CodeV tools is a plus
  • International travel will be required up to 30%
Description
You will take the lead in driving technical, operational and quality issues related to Core Technologies components (Camera, Lens, VCM, Optical Sensing) from the earliest stages of NPI, engineering builds, ramp up and sustaining product lifecycles. You will work with module design and process teams to quickly resolve technical and operational issues and interface between sub-component vendors and downstream module integrators. * Provide total ownership of the factory output, yield, quality and readiness to ramp volume. * Drive lessons learned into designs and use predictive methods to anticipate and avoid quality issue early in development cycle. * Maintain open issues and resolve prior to mass production * Collaborate with quality teams to review and approve manufacturing Quality Control Plans (tests, methods, sample sizes, pass/fail criteria). Ensure cosmetic standards are aligned with module integrator * Provide leadership and drive yield & operational excellence expectations with CMs through direct interaction, continuous communication, and continuous improvement efforts. * Supervise and report yield, manufacturing metrics (CpK, FMEA etc.). Drive improvement programs as appropriate. * Select best in class equipment efficiencies, UPH, MMR, and material usage, and drive + implement across vendors * Supervise CM performance through objective measurement systems as well as audits and line verification. Implement communication plan, providing summary and corrective action plans through life cycle of products. * Raise key concerns and options for resolutions to senior management.
Education & Experience
BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or allied technical subject
