Overview

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to improving the lives of all people seeking obstetric and gynecologic care, their families, and communities through supporting our members, is currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst.

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for understanding the business needs and objectives of ACOG's divisions to help develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting. Conduct the conversion of complex data into actionable insights that will lead to informed conclusions and business decisions. Oversee and support ACOG's Data Governance Program and all analytics operations.

Responsibilities

    Identify ACOG's data sources, select, configure, and implement analytics solutions, build systems to transform raw data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • Create data connections for primary, siloed/vendor managed and other open data sources through business intelligence tools.
  • Mine data from primary and secondary data sources. Reorganize the data, identify key trends and metrics, and creating visualizations for staff that can be easily interpreted.
  • Support internal stakeholders by providing custom and ad hoc reports and stats upon request.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance in collaboration with programmers, project managers, vendors, stakeholders, and organizational leaders.
  • Prepare reports for leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
  • Create appropriate data literacy guides to help stakeholders understand data analysis processes and replicate as necessary.
  • Vendor invoice processing and budget tracking.
  • Develop and maintain standards for dashboards and reporting initiatives ensuring data is visualized appropriately, creating consistent standards, and confirming that all data is accurate.
  • Support ACOG's Data Governance Program by managing the protection of sensitive data and information assets, establishing and ensuring adherence to data policies, standards and practices, ensuring data quality and correcting discrepancies.
  • Ensure the successful implementation of analytics platforms, repositories and transformation tools in conjunction with internal stakeholders and vendor IT resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 8 years of data analytics experience.
  • 3 years of experience in SQL.
  • 2 years data governance and project management experience.
  • Expertise in Power BI, Tableau or similar.
  • Expertise in Google Analytics.
  • Hands-on experience in AWS Microservices.
  • Experience in data analysis, data migration, data cleansing, transformation, and statistics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
