Job Description:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business, or relevant field of study preferred

Work Experiences:

  • 3+ years of loss prevention/asset protection, retail management, inventory control, security or law enforcement experience
  • Previous training experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of Loss Prevention, Operations, and/or field knowledge
  • Consistently apply sound judgment, and operate professionally, effectively, and ethically
  • Proven track record in managing projects
  • Ability to influence others cross-functionally

Responsibilities:

  • Act as key strategic partner for Store Operations on asset protection, theft, loss prevention and safety/security best practices
  • Direct, support, and train team members in the design, development, administration, monitoring, and implementation of activities related to the protection of company assets
  • Manage and monitor performance of loss prevention programs, policies and procedures for assigned high risk stores
  • Leverage loss prevention and inventory control data to identify root causes of loss and recommend best practices to reduce shrink and increase profitability
  • Provide consultation and support in the resolution of loss prevention issues
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local law enforcement agencies
  • Partner with Store leadership to coach, train and educate store team members regarding the expectations and behaviors required for store shrink reduction and profitability enhancement
  • Monitor, analyze, and follow up on statistical data related to inventory or cash losses
  • Maintain knowledge of Loss Prevention trends, laws, and governmental compliance
  • Conduct business loss prevention reviews to detect areas of vulnerability and/or violations of company policies and procedures
  • Maintain timely and accurate reporting to Corporate Loss Prevention for company loss incidents
  • Identify and recommend actionable enhancements to existing programs and processes to mitigate loss
  • Promote and drive organizational safety initiatives
  • Learn, follow and enforce company policies and safety procedures
  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
  • Duties may change; team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

  • 25% travel required
