GEICO is looking for an accomplished, customer obsessed, and results oriented Vice President of Product Management. This Executive will represent Product Management at the top level of the organization and ensure Product Management is a differentiator. This role will oversee a product value pool and all underlying products and services, while being at the forefront of new opportunities that drive value. This role will develop a 2-year strategy and roadmap for differentiating GEICO products in the marketplace. This role will continuously monitor evolution in the insurance industry, innovation in parallel industries, competitor products, market, and consumer trends to grow revenue via products.

In addition, this role will be responsible for product concepts that may open opportunities for incremental revenue streams. This role will be responsible for transforming the user experience, underlying products, and partnering with leaders to transform the way we work. This position requires a leader who thrives in creating clarity, is comfortable navigating complex domains. S/he will be comfortable influencing executives and the top level of the organization as well as communicating an inspirational future. In addition, this leader will attract, grow, empower, and inspire top product talent as they develop and deliver on their product portfolios in an iterative, outcome-focused, and well managed
way.

Job Responsibilities:
* Grow Revenue: Work with business partners, product peers and technical leaders to directly drive increased revenue by enhancing product value pools, improving revenue funnels, and systematically enabling configurability of key product revenue drivers
* Lead go-to-market: Determine product positioning and differentiation in the industry and build traction in collaboration with the business and marketing
* Represent a product value pool and the underlying product portfolios at the top level of the organization, anticipating implications from product changes and continuously collaborating with peers to ensure simplicity for customers
* Continuously champion destination back thinking while partnering closely across the organization to identify new product revenue streams articulating how they will drive value for customers, the organization and differentiate GEICO in the marketplace
* Articulate the value of Product Management and inspirational vision of the future, with continuous stakeholder engagement through product roadshows, demos, and articulating proven value creation
* Uphold a high standard for customer experiences across all consumers, associates and partner interactions across all channels and insurance offerings
* Ensure value pool serves all customers, all insurance offerings and in all channels. In addition, understanding customers' needs to seamlessly transition customers between channels to remove friction in completing jobs.
* Comfort with basics of running a large department (ex, hiring and firing, team prioritization and allocation, budgeting)
* Deep knowledge of all aspects of the product value pool, its architecture and underlying technology inclusive of front end, services, platforms, and backend capabilities
* Continuously assess value pool performance and identify any areas of growth or decommissioning of products
* Translate strategic product vision into an 18+-month product value pool roadmap mapped to business growth and value creation
* Map product pools to Business and Customer KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) while coaching team to adjust and refine product portfolios as the data dictates
* Lead a product team of 20+ people including Senior Directors and Directors of Product Management while championing human centered design, systems thinking, agile best practices and scalable technology to ensure best in class products
* Hold product leaders accountable to outcomes, identifying opportunities for growth and measurable goals
* Grow out the product management function through coaching, campus recruiting and contributing to a product development program inclusive of training and product resource rotations

Requirements:

* Business-minded product leader with a strong product sense and ability to think about how product impacts the broader organization
* Experience with organizational structure and aligning products and resources to value pools
* Proven experience in managing full product lifecycle, from research and concept to release and distribution to customers, and future evolution in a scaled environment
* 12+ years' experience in product leadership positions with proven record of successfully launching and managing product portfolios (at least half of it from building consumer facing products)
* 6+ years in managing 4+ product portfolios
* 10+ years of experience hiring, managing, and developing product directors, senior managers(people managers)
* Familiar with organizational maturity and related transformation
* Demonstrated experience influencing senior management and setting expectations for major cross-functional initiatives
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with insurance, financial services, or parallel industries
* Design Thinking, Agile, Product Certifications or extensive product management experience required
* MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred
