About this Position:

The purpose and function of the Technical Specialist- Auto Tech Line position is to provide technical support to AHM Automotive Technicians at both Honda and Acura dealerships for difficult to repair vehicles. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for fix it right the first-time initiative, support to AHM Service Technical Operations for vehicle validations and countermeasure assistance, and supervision to staff related to staffing, scheduling, and training.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring accuracy and completeness of info given to technicians
• Developing skillset of associates to ensure direct reports remain relevant in areas of expertise.
• Ensuring performance supports objectives of the department and division
• Supporting Subject Matter area of expertise
• Managing call load efficiency

Required Work Experience:

• Five to ten years of hands-on experience as a technician (preferably Honda or Acura vehicles)
• Previous supervision/shop foreman experience a plus
• ASE certifications A1-A8 plus L1
• In-depth knowledge of complex vehicle systems including terminology used by Honda and Acura
• This position is required to operate vehicles, so a Motor Vehicle Report is required as part of our Pre-Employment Background Check

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Two years Automotive Trade School or AA in Automotive Technology equivalent

Total Rewards:

• Competitive Base Salary: $68,700 to $103,000

Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
