In this role you will:

  • Provide Active Directory design support to ensure the organization maintains best practices.
  • Provide application server support in a virtual environment.
  • Work with vendors and business partners to update/install new software on Windows OS based systems.
  • Provide support to internal IT Application teams.
  • Work with the team to minimize the ever-evolving threat landscape.

Candidates should have:

  • 3 to 7 years of relevant and proven work experience, in an enterprise environment.
  • Expert knowledge ofMicrosoft Windows and Active Directory in a virtualized environment.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills.Including, but not limited to, GPO Administration, PowerShell, AD Integration with Cloud Services, and more.
  • Experience with PKI and IIS with a MCSA or equivalent knowledge preferred.

Reports to: Manager of Server Engineering

Position Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for providing basic server support for the corporation. The incumbent performs regular assignments using own judgment and following the corporation's data policy, while keeping manager informed as necessary and receives general guidance on new projects as to methods, procedures and desired end results. The incumbent has discretion to make decisions within the scope of their responsibilities. Complex assignments are usually reviewed upon completion. This position has a substantial impact on operations, resources and the corporation's reputation.

Primary Responsibilities:

Helps define server/network requirements and participates in the development of long range infrastructure plans. Performs repetitive server maintenance tasks. Works with application software and lines of business end users.

Troubleshoots server issues and performs server hardware and software patch management according to detailed departmental or vendor instructions. Develops and executes test cases and scripts. Documents work performed and procedures for administration.

Act as a vendor liaison for assigned systems/platforms. Follows change control procedures and submits PCFs for planned changes. Works with Technology, Project Management Office and lines of business partners. Works with vendors and external support personnel.

Has basic knowledge of server virtualization, SANS, network operating systems, network directories, Vblock, patching, server replication and disaster recovery. Supports specific components of a larger project or support initiative. Has basic or emerging Technology project management skills

Works day shift but may be required to work after hours and weekends. Works independently or as part of a team to achieve results.
