Assistant Professor in Neuroscience

The Salk Institute is seeking faculty members at the Assistant Professor level who are pioneering independent research programs using innovative approaches in the field of neuroscience. Areas of interest are: neural systems with a focus on the role of cell types and circuits in behavior and perception; programs at the interface of neuroscience and engineering. The research program may consider the function of the nervous system during health and/or dysfunction in disease. The search is not limited to a particular approach or technology, but applicants should ideally have a strong quantitative element to their program.

Candidate Qualifications

Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and a strong record of research achievements.

Salary Range: $123,000 to $143,500
