The Opportunity

DAT Solutions is looking for a Software Engineer that is passionate about developing backend services to join our Mobile Engineering team. This engineer will be responsible for using Typescript and GraphQL in building on the current BFF service consumed by our Android and iOS applications. This unique position will require close collaboration with Android and iOS native-client developers.

The DAT Mobile Engineering team is responsible for delivering customer solutions on Android and iOS platforms that are maintainable, scalable, and of the highest quality. We use the Agile development process, and value employees who foster collaboration between team members.

What You'll Do



  • Design, develop, and maintain BFF GraphQL Service and REST APIs
  • Write unit, integration, and functional tests, and guide others in doing the same
  • Review functional requirements and analyze their impact on schedule, design, and client apps
  • Translate business needs and requirements into technical
  • Document specifications and practices
  • Work with Architecture team in adoption of design and standards
  • Participate in, and at times lead, design/code reviews
  • Execute deployment tasks within CI/CD pipeline
  • Communicate well with client teams and other backends services teams
  • Maintain excellence in monitoring and observability


The Skills and Experience You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
  • 5+ years overall experience in software development
  • REST APIs / Microservices / BFF
  • Node.js + JavaScript/Typescript + Docker
  • GraphQL
  • Excellent Documentation Skills

  • Profiling and Debugging Tools
  • Automation and Load Test experience
  • Cloud Native Development


For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $140,000.00 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience.
