Job Summary South Mountain Community College is currently seeking a full-time Instructional Services Coordinator Senior to develop, manage and monitor class schedules, and process college curriculum. This position provides supervision, conducts training and liaises broadly regarding schedule production and curriculum proposals. This position is self-directed and assists the Learning Division by providing data, reports and expertise related to class scheduling. Essential Functions 40% - Plans, organizes, and assigns the work of assigned staff responsible for class schedule and curriculum development processing. Processes college curriculum proposals. Coordinates and monitors the college curriculum processing cycle including the management of the academic schedule. Analyzes business and industry needs and evaluates curricula offering for opportunities. Uses web-based enterprise systems for class scheduling, curriculum processing, facility reservations, and reporting. 30% - Collects, aggregates, interprets and analyzes data. Prepares or coordinates the production of reports, publications, correspondences and materials related to scheduling and curriculum. Manages and directs projects, including the development and implementation of department milestones, goals and objectives. Participates in college-wide strategic planning sessions 10% - Maintains a variety of curriculum and class scheduling records, documents, catalogs, and web content for the department and college. Oversees the production of the college catalog. Develops policies and procedures related to assigned areas of focus. Ensures compliance with college and district curriculum accreditation policies and applicable state and federal law 10% - Collaborates with various stakeholder groups, including division chairs, instructional councils, office of the Vice President of Learning, faculty, staff and community members. Liaises with district office on all issues related to curriculum and scheduling 10% - Assists in the development, administration and monitoring of departmental budget. Provides group and individual training of faculty and staff; creates and updates training materials related to curriculum processing and academic schedule processing. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, organizational development or directly related field and two (2) years of related experience such as providing advanced program coordination and consultation that includes one or more of the following: planning, development, and/or implementing program projects and activities in area of assignment. OR Associates Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, organizational development or directly related field and four (4) years of related experience such as providing advanced program coordination and consultation that includes one or more of the following: planning, development, and/or implementing program projects and activities in area of assignment. OR High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years of related experience such as providing advanced program coordination and consultation that includes one or more of the following: planning, development, and/or implementing program projects and activities in area of assignment. Desired Qualifications A. Two (2) or more years' experience working with curriculum processing, including experience with MCCCD processes, policies and stakeholders B. Two (2) or more years' experience working with scheduling classes in a Student Information System (SIS), or similar enterprise system. Demonstrated experience including, but not limited to, class creation/modification/cancellation and combining multiple classes. C. Proficiency with enterprise and cloud-based systems and software programs, such as financial management system (FMS), student information system (SIS), Microsoft Office, project management software, Google Suite, etc. D. Experience researching, performing analysis, preparing reports and/or interpreting data to inform program development, class scheduling or curriculum decisions E. Experience working cross-functionally and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to achieve team-based outcomes F.
