Revenue Operations Intern

JOB SUMMARY:

TheRevenue Operations Internprogram will offer a learning environment incorporating real-world experience in advocating and overturning technical and medical necessity denials through payer-specific appeal processes in the medical device industry. The Revenue Operations Intern will work with a team of Denials Specialists to learn how to perform core Reimbursement processes that ensure accurate pricing and adjudication of DME claims toobtain proper payment to minimize the financial burden of Novocure and our patients. Additionally, there will be a data tracking and integrity project that will require strong Excel skills. This is a temporary, non-exempt position, reporting to the Manager, Commercial Reimbursement, based in our Portsmouth, NH location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with various insurance follow-up calls regarding claim status, benefits investigations and authorizations
• Obtain prior authorizations to establish medical necessity
• Identify and escalate contracting or medical policy implementation challenges and opportunities
• Gather, consolidate, and summarize information related to the status of various ongoing projects
• Partner with the intern team as part of a broader rotational program, including the creation of a final presentation on learning objectives
• Assist with any other Revenue Operations team duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Working knowledge in the use of Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Quick learning and the ability to adjust in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
• Problem-solving skills that can be applied in a compassionate manner
• AS or BS degree in process preferred
• Able to work with limited supervision
• Positive and energetic
• Recommended GPA of 3.0 or above
• Rising Senior & final year MBA candidates preferred
• Must be able to commit to 30-40 hours a week

OTHER:

• The Revenue Operations department operates with a hybrid work schedule, with 2 days per week from the Portsmouth, NH facility and 3 days per week remote
• In addition to the above, other duties may be assigned from time to time by the Company
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
• Participate in the Intern Program with other interns; bi weekly lunch & learns, coffee chats, & final presentations
• Opportunity to travel to the Portsmouth, NH office mid-summer for a two day on site cultural emersion
