About this Position:

Provides for the acquisition, development, maintenance, and support of information technologies and tools required to facilitate the internal clients' business operations and interaction with external business partners.

A Senior Business Analyst will work closely with other Business Analysts to mature the business process and keep current with market and regulatory changes with best practices in mind.

Provides application development support throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle. This includes modules with large WRICEF (workflow, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms) counts and nonstandard business processes within the region.

Senior Business Analysts need to be knowledgeable in the process that they are assigned. In addition, they need to understand the implications of changing these processes. Based on this, the Senior Business Analyst has the responsibility to work with other Business Analysts to determine the best decision regarding approving or denying process change requests within their assigned area. They play a key liaison role between the CoE and the business in their region.. K

Responsibilities include:



  • Maintains the documentation content of business processes implemented in Project SPARK solution within their region.
  • Performs process analysis, requirements definition, design and simulation of FICO, OTC, PTP, or SCM functions.


  • Works with technical team and end users to map new business processes or potential enhancements on SAP and interfaced systems.
  • Coordinates work of consultants and/or AMS engaged for specific initiatives for the assigned functional area.
  • Daily monitoring of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) to ensure timely responses to Incidents, Service Requests, CRs, and CDs. Reviews priority and properly communicates updates to the business and other CoE members.
  • Maintains effective communication channels to the business departments in the region and the CoE organization.


  • Determines best method to affect training of operators on new applications/modifications and support development of training documentation. Select and train "Super Users" where appropriate.
  • Monitors performance and effectiveness of specific business processes in close cooperation with the business teams.
  • Manages their business issues within their responsible area and escalates appropriately to the Macro Process Owners & Governance lead.
  • Regularly assess Project SPARK users for their responsible region / area to ensure they receive the appropriate training.
  • Maintains an accurate BPH (Business Process Hierarchy) for the responsible area /region.
  • Understands reporting strategy and defines reporting requirements in line with reporting tools available to Project SPARK.
  • Supports Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) audits, keeps documentation current to ensure compliance within area / region.
  • Meets with the key business team associates at their site at a minimum of once per Ki.


Required Work Experience:



  • Minimum of 5-15 years of Accounting, Finance, Sales, Distribution, or Purchasing experience is required.
  • Experience in major ERP environment required (SAP is preferred, or Oracle, Infor, Dynamics, or other Enterprise application would be considered)
  • Project management experience is required (ex. PMO experience)


Required Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; or equivalent experience


Desired skills:



  • Proficient knowledge/understanding of inventory control and warehouse
  • management principles/practices
  • Proficient knowledge of receivables policies and procedures
  • Proficient knowledge of equipment/software required to perform job
  • Forklift License and Crane operation and applicable safety training
  • Proficient customer service, communication, interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Honda Part Number logic, including Revision methods
  • Hazardous Materials Shipping/Receiving certification may be required
  • Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel)
  • Must be able to possess a high level of confidentiality
