About this Position:

The SCM Delivery Business Analyst uses expertise within systems and data tools to investigate complex Delivery problems, modify, and communicate critical information to the appropriate SCM department leadership and promote solutions that improve effectiveness and efficiency of the local SC Delivery team within a challenging production and supply chain environment.

Responsibilities include:



  • Lead Local Site Delivery Powertrain in troubleshooting systems issues through use of Business Objects, GPCS system, QMF, SQL, and Tableau, etc...
  • Lead/Support Site Delivery Leadership in the execution of urgent production changes through the use of available systems (GPCS, QMF, and SQL)
  • Support/maintain critical projects, Business Plan Themes, and other initiatives, present/escalate when necessary
  • Engage with Site Delivery Powertrain leadership to develop useful, scenario-specific tools on demand (Tableau, Moxie, GPCS, QMF queries, SQL, Dashboards, etc...)
  • Benchmark with other powertrain sites to identify and apply cost saving opportunities
  • Engage with colleagues at HDMA and other sites (TMP-O and TMP-G) to develop and/or implement system enhancements (Commonization, OWBW, etc)
  • Support Local Unit Leader/Group Leader with associate development through systems/analytics training
  • Work collaboratively w/ other North American sites in troubleshooting systemic Supply Chain problems (TMP-O, TMP-G)


Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:



  • 3 - 6 years of relevant experience at Honda or previous employer


Required Education:



  • Bachelors' degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Data Science, MIS, or Computer Science (or equivalent certificates and experience)

  • Understands connectivity of work to Company and Department strategy and contributes ideas based on own experience
  • Demonstrates application of advanced theory and analysis tools and software to job related issues; has expanded knowledge and has become multi-skilled
  • Understands and analyzes information to identify trends, issues, problems, or opportunities and takes action to solve a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Formulates clear decision criteria, evaluates options by considering implications and consequences, and can choose an effective option in a timely manner


Additional Position Factors:



  • Must be able to work overtime approximately 5-10 hours per week.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with demanding and critical deadlines.
  • Traveling between Sites, Business Units, and/or suppliers
  • Must be able to work weekends or into 2nd shift hours to support critical business needs (internal and/or external)
