Job Description:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study required

Work Experiences:

  • 10+ years of related work experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in a retail eCommerce, Omnichannel and high transaction environment required

Skills:

  • Proven managerial leadership
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a track record of success in leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Understanding of on-line retailing best practices and web technology applications
  • Knowledge of WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) and Sterling Commerce preferred
  • Proven ability to lead an IT retail Omnichannel centric organization
  • Understanding of agile development methods and practices
  • Experience with all forms of digital payment transactions and related hardware, software and security
  • Knowledge of Product Information Management systems and its integration with other systems
  • Proven ability to recognize and adapt to company culture
  • Ability to analyze, organize and integrate large amounts of complex information into clear, concise presentations and plans
  • Experience creating and executing to a financial budget
  • Communication - effective listening, speaking and writing skills
  • Computer - proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, WMS and e-mail software
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

Responsibilities:

  • Key leader in the formation and execution of digital and Omnichannel vision and strategies
  • Lead the IT Omnichannel team with focus on eCommerce, mCommerce, Omnichannel and POS technology platforms
  • Develop and maintain technology platforms to drive a high growth omnichannel business
  • Partner closely with key business leaders (Omnichannel, Marketing, Stores and Merchants) to align and coordinate resources
  • Lead by example and model a passion for the business as well as demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented style
  • Manage the development of the business requirements in partnership with IT and other business partners
  • Drive development initiatives that support the Omnichannel roadmap such as new features and functionality enhancements
  • Monitor developing eCommerce and Omnichannel technology trends, evaluate business opportunities and recommend new technology for the Company's business
  • Optimize the performance of academy.com and its ability to drive conversion to sales through all applicable site metrics
  • Drive results via an agile development process, efficiently leading virtual omnichannel team members through the process to maximize results
  • Manage the day-to-day including functionality up-time, transaction processing functionality and product presentation in partnership with other IT functions
  • Provide ongoing tracking and analysis of consumer site behavior through market analysis, competitive analysis and site analytics
  • Maintain productive vendor relationships for key technology partners
  • Celebrate team success and recognize exemplary team results, consistently offer feedback for continuous improvement
  • Integrate feedback from Customer Service and on-site customer search to improve site functionality
  • Manage site quality control and efforts to ensure feature and functionality performance
  • Work closely with Contact Center and Fulfillment Center to ensure all business processes are linked to attain the overall business goals of the Company
  • Mentor management team and staff
  • Prepare and manage budget for the department
