[September 2020] Summary: Supervise and perform technical and administrative tasks in a small to medium size laboratory. Oversee equipment maintenance. Ensure adequate supplies for experimental needs. Assist Investigator in personnel management. Manage lab safety programs to insure compliance with all applicable regulations. Assist in laboratory space and facilities planning; make recommendations for changes; maintain inventory of laboratory furniture and equipment. Serve as liaison to HHMI and host institution administrative offices. In this role, the Laboratory Manager will supervise and perform technical and administrative tasks in a large laboratory, coordinate equipment maintenance, and insure adequate supplies for experimental needs. They will assist the Investigator in personnel management and manage lab safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. The manager will assist in laboratory space and facilities planning; make recommendations for changes; and maintain inventory of laboratory furniture, equipment, and supplies. What we provide:

Physical Requirements: Remaining in a normal seated or standing position for extended periods of time; reaching and grasping by extending hand(s) or arm(s); dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers, for example using a keyboard; communication skills using the spoken word; ability to see and hear within normal parameters; ability to move about workspace. Compensation Range: Laboratory Manager I - $66,885.00 (minimum) - $83,500.00 (midpoint) - $108,570.00 (maximum) Pay Type: Annual HHMI's salary structure is developed based on relevant job market data. HHMI considers a candidate's education, previous experiences, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity when making job offers. Typically, a new hire for this position in this location is compensated between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range.
