Compensation Data

Compensation offered for this role is $60,100 to $102,625 and is based on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary:

Allstate is hiring for a Product Senior Consultant. The selected individual will be responsible for supporting strategic business decisions by evaluating trends and reporting and monitoring key business metrics. They will apply business knowledge gained in the role to analyze our competitive landscape, execute underwriting and product changes, and be responsible for completion of projects of moderate to high complexity. This is a remote - homebased opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

* Understanding of the Profit and Loss and key insurance metrics with the ability to identify emerging trends and make recommendations to inform product management teams.
* Leverage various data sources and applications to retrieve, conduct research, manipulate data, report build and perform moderate to complex analysis to support the different product teams
* With some oversight, Influence business decisions through storytelling and presentation of data and analysis. Effectively communicate results to Senior Leadership
* Actively participate in coordinated efforts across the organization to facilitate and lead the implementation of moderate to complex initiatives (including product, pricing, contract, and underwriting)
* Owns moderate to complex procedures and processes regularly and recommends alternatives or improvements to influence product design, business strategy, and underwriting philosophy
* Provide moderate to complex technical guidance and influence the work of others; simplify difficult concepts for non-technical users
* Build business partnerships by demonstrating knowledge and understanding of customer needs and other internal/external partners
* Contribute to a supportive team environment, enabling quality team interactions and deliverables (e.g., develop trust within team, reinforce and apply team expectations, appropriately challenge team members and peers, celebrate success and learnings)
* Mentors and provides training to other team members

Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* 3 or more years of related experience
Functional Skills:
* Intermediate: Microsoft Office Suite of tools, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word
* Intermediate knowledge of data retrieval, sources, and reporting such as SQL, Business Objects, and Tableau
* Strong attention to detail; can analyze data and review analysis from others and identify and resolve data issues of moderate complexity
* Intermediate: oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate specialized terms and data
* Organizational and time management skills with ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting proprieties; accepts responsibility for results of actions
* Enjoys collaborating with others to build and maintain ongoing partner relationships both within and outside area of expertise
