Medical Assistants are an important part of the care team who work closely with our licensed practitioners to provide care for our patients. This role is responsible for administrative and clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, and assisting physicians with exams.

The job utilizes a combination of skills including:



  • Clerical computer and phone skills
  • Customer service/people skills
  • Medical terminology
  • Hands on clinical skills


Typical job skills include:



  • Taking vital signs like pulse and blood pressure
  • Updating medications, allergies and other information in patient's medical records
  • Performing some medical procedures, specimen collection and lab testing


This is a combined posting for Associate Medical Assistant and Medical Assistant. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Consideration for each role will be based on qualifications. If you have the qualifications of any one of these three positions, we encourage you to apply.

The MA I works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An MA I is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Associate Medical Assistant

Required qualifications:



  • Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants or alternate training program
  • 6 months Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • 6 months Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).


Medical Assistant

Required qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for the WA State Certification exam
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire or Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • 6 months Healthcare experience
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for a National Certification exam


Salary Range by Location:

Associate Medical Assistant Salary Range, Colville, Washington - Min: $17.06 , Max: $26.07

Most candidates can expect a starting pay of $20.91/hr or higher depending on experience.

Medical Assistant Salary Range, Colville, Washington Min: $18.50 , Max: $28.27

Most candidates can expect a starting pay of $22.19/hr or higher depending on experience.
