X-Ray Tech, Primary & Walk-In Care, Wayne, Full Time, $3,000 Sign on Bonus
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs x-ray functions for a Center and supports the activities of that Center by performing Medical Assistant and/or Business Associate duties and assisting other personnel as directed or requested by the Head Radiographer, Charge Nurse and/or Practice Manager.
X-Ray Tech must be willing to help bring patients to rooms, take vital signs, and perform EKGs (will include on-job training). Knowledge of insurance and precertification process preferred.
Schedule: Monday-Friday; two 12 hour shifts, one 8 hour shift; alternating weekends 8 to 4 Saturday and 8 to 2 Sunday
EDUCATION:
Completion of formal radiologic technology coursework in a school approved by the Council on Education of the American Medical Association. Must have passed an examination within six (6) months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or eligible for registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. New graduates will be considered.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in a clinic, medical office or off-site medical environment preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Current and valid license from the State of New Jersey X-Ray Technician Board of Examiners. ARRT Certification preferred. BCLS certification required. Ability to use critical thinking skills (analytical, clinical reasoning, decision-making, problem-solving, time management, etc.). Outstanding interpersonal, service excellence behavior and customer service skills required. Strong orientation towards the provisions of high quality, cost effective and comprehensive medical care. Ability to use effective organizational and time management skills to set priorities and respond quickly to urgent/emergent situations.
