To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    Must have effective communication skills, understanding of medical terminology, basic typing skills, simple arithmetic skills, and computer skills, telephone, copy machine, FAX machine.


Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Job Duties

  • Schedules patients; converts appointment to a treatment when appropriate; records data in computer; maintains strict confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Filing, scheduling, greeting patients as they enter the facility, provide medical records, record daily treatments, organizing and maintaining electronic files, take meeting notes, be a point of reference for all queries, distribute all faxes and any other line of communication to the appropriate staff member
  • Triages telephone calls with minimal "on hold" time.
  • Interacts with nurses, physicians, hospital departments, patients, visitors, and volunteers; serves as a hostess to all persons coming to the area.
  • Prioritizes time to ensure daily responsibilities are completed; demonstrates a self-directed, mature, disciplined and tactful approach to duties.
  • Maintains standards and implements policies and procedures of the department and hospital; maintains complete understanding of job duties, including patient scheduling and SYSTOC System.
  • Consistently update patient information within the patient profile and appointment along with updating company profiles as needed in SYSTOC
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
