The Division of Computational Health Sciences in the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities is seeking candidates for 2 positions at the Assistant Professor rank, on either the academic-track or tenure track. Faculty candidates will develop computational methods or tools to support health sciences and clinical research. The specific research areas of interest include expertise in computer vision, predictive modeling, electronic health records, big data analytics, digital health and wearable devices, consumer informatics and clinical research informatics. They will have access to exceptional patient data and translational opportunities through M Health Fairview and Academic Health Center-Information Exchange, and the Center for Learning Health System Sciences. The successful candidate will join a uniquely interdisciplinary and collaborative research environment of scientists and scholars conducting innovative and impactful research aimed at improving health care outcomes and delivery. Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree with expertise in any area related to computer science, health data science, or biomedical informatics. Exceptional faculty candidates should have a strong scholarly record of developing and applying computational and data science to health. About the Department
